Academic institutions are invited to join the High Value Practice Alliance. The success of this organization hinges on participation by a large number of academic medical centers. We currently have > 100 academic center partners in the United States, Canada, Japan, Norway & Australia.
Institutional Membership requires approval by an institutional leader (i.e. Dean, President, CMO, etc). Departmental Membership requires approval by Department Chair. There is no membership fee.
Requirements of membership:

- Academic medical center (medical school affiliation or GMEC program)
- Written agreement endorsed by institutional or departmental leadership
- Commitment to advance at least one value improvement initiative across your institution annually
- Participation in monthly conference calls and surveys

- Demonstrate to patients accountability for the value of the care we deliver and a commitment to creating a more sustainable health care model
- Experienced academic centers can expand their quality improvement initiatives on a national scale
- Less experienced centers are provided with guidance to safely and effectively improve practice
- Collaboration enables pooling of resources, expertise and data to develop appropriate use criteria, joint publications and best practice guidelines
- Opportunity to direct or participate in HVPA working groups
- Member institutions’ faculty receive a discounted registration fee at the national conference
