Commercially available multifocal soft contact lenses (MFSCLs) are increasingly prescribed as a form of myopia control despite limited understanding of mechanisms involved. The purpose of the proposed research is to investigate the effects of two commercially available MFSCLs on the eyes’ ability to accommodate to gain a better understanding of the biometric responses of these lenses, which may provide insight into their myopia controlling health effects on adolescents. A secondary aim is to correlate visual performance with lens fit in order to better understand the subjective effects of the multifocal optics on the eyes.
